Joshua was born and raised in Houston, Texas. He was the apprentice in the repair department at Rockin' Robin Guitars & Music for four years and repaired all kinds of stringed instruments. Joshua also interned at the prestigious SugarHill Recording Studios in the summer of 2018 and became a certified engineer after one month of work. After leaving SugarHill in November 2018, he assisted the broadcast engineer at Lakewood Church, and later assisted on Vevo DSCVR and Ctrl sets for DaniLeigh, Lennon Stella, A$AP Ferg, HARDY, and half•alive. In August 2019, Joshua was the A2 audio engineer for AJ Mitchell's Vevo LIFT shoot in Belleville, IL, and later that October was the A2 audio engineer for Yungblud's Vevo LIFT shoot in Brooklyn, NY. In the summer of 2021, Joshua interned with Grammy-nominated producers Grant McFarland and Carson Slovak at Atrium Audio, assisting them with bands such as Shadow of Intent and From Ashes to New. Upon returning to Boston for his junior year at Berklee College of Music, Joshua quickly became sought-after for writing, engineering, production, mixing, and mastering, working with bands such as Maplehead and Nailed Shut. Joshua decided to leave Berklee in fall of 2022, having since relocated to Los Angeles, California. In Los Angeles, Joshua is continuing his work with Blackgum Media at Vevo's Los Angeles studio, while continuing to freelance and produce, record, mix, and master.
